AutoUpdate Troubleshooting
AutoUpdate Troubleshooting
StepBridge releases regularly new versions of the software which all players need to install. To make it easier StepBridge is provided with an AutoUpdate function which does everything automatically. This can take some moments without visible progress but it will get there.
Unfortunately there are a few situation when the AutoUpdat doesn't function correctly. Below you'll find the solution.
Troubleshooting
While updating the StepBridge software you can encounter a few issues:
1. AutoUpdate give the message "Error writing to file"
This means you do not have write permissions in the folder where StepBridge is installed. To resolve this issue, start StepBridge not the normal way, but right-click on the StepBridge icon clicking and select "Run as administrator". Then the update is properly implemented.
2. The auto update runs properly, but when logging in again after the update I get the message "No connection to the server (code xxxxx)".
In this case, your firewall is blocking the new version of StepBridge. Click here for more information and how you can solve this problem.
3. Other problems.
Other than the above problems are not known to us. But if you still encounter problems with the AutoUpdate, you can always use the latest version of StepBridge download via the link below. You do not need to apply for a new account.
